Will's Nursery!

The nursery is finally finished!  Whoo-hoo!  With only 17 days to go, nothing like waiting until the last minute!  However, in my opinion, it was well worth the wait!  We just moved into a new house almost four weeks ago and Will's nursery is the only room that is complete!  Kyle's mom made ALL of the bedding, the roman shade, the lamp shade, the changing pad cover and the bulletin board!  She did an AMAZING job!  I love the way it turned out!  Now, we just need our little baby boy for it to be complete!

Happy Anniversary!

On Monday, Kyle and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary!  My how times flies and life changes in such a short period of time!  Kyle brought me flowers and we enjoyed a yummy dinner at Mere Bulles in Brentwood--the same location as our rehearsal dinner.  I feel so blessed to have married my best friend!  Kyle is the most kind and loving person and I can't wait to watch him in his new role as "Daddy" in just a couple of weeks.  Little Will is going to be one lucky guy!

Then.....

Baby Shower(s)

I'm so far behind in updating my blog that I don't really even know where to start.  Back in June, my sisters and friends threw a baby shower for Will and myself!  My sister, Emily, was kind enough to host the shower at her house and I had a fabulous time.  Every detail was so special!  The food was centered around foods that I have been craving since I've been pregnant.  I haven't had "weird" cravings, but I definitely get hung up on something and that is all I can think about!  For some reason, I LOVE McAlister's french dip sandwich and their Spud Ole (I should be their spokesperson!).  So, included in the menu was a baked potato bar and pork tenderloin sandwiches along with Ro*tel and chips (who doesn't crave that anyway!), fruit kebobs, cream puffs, cheesecake and sweet tea!  Mmmmm!  Makes me hungry just thinking about it!

Amy made her signature ADORABLE diaper cake!  You must contact her if you ever need a diaper cake for any reason!  She is the best!

She also made these precious party favors for everyone to take home!  Inside were two yummy cookies!

I'm so thankful to have such a great family and such wonderful friends!  It was really fun to see some people that I had not seen in quite a while!  I'm sad that I didn't get a group picture OR a picture with all of the hostess! :(  Thank you so much to everyone who helped and came to the shower!  It really meant alot to me!

I also had a baby shower at Otter Creek Church hosted by the sweet girls in my Life Group as well as an old college friend, Darci Belville!  Thank you ladies!

Summer So Far

Kyle and I have really been trying to take advantage of our time these past few weeks / months!  With the arrival of Will just around the corner, we know that being able to sleep late and do our own thing/make our own schedule will become probably "nonexistent!"  We've been to the lake house a couple of times with friends and family and enjoyed those weekends away.  Although, being 7-8 months pregnant and riding wave runners, etc really don't mix!  Last week, we went to Myrtle Beach with my family and had a great time!  Almost our entire family went (all 17 of us) including my parents, grandparents, sisters & families and aunt.  The only people missing were my cousins--Claire and Caroline.  We missed you guys!  It was particularly fun to watch Tess experience the beach for the first time.  That girl is fearless!  She loved the ocean, loved the pool and loved the water slides and had about 4 "holes in one" playing putt-putt!

We are getting ready for our big move this Sunday / Monday and are ready to be settled in our new house. I'm chomping at the bit to get the nursery put together.  I'm in a major clean out and throw away mode right now.  No more needless things sitting around the house!  Hopefully, Will will take after his little friend, Laney, and not make an early (or on time!) appearance so we can get the house together!
